About this product
Jargal is the common name used in the glass industry for fused cast alumina blocks. Its defining property is that it neither dissolves into stones nor generates blisters in glass contact. For that reason forehearth channels and feeder blocks in thin glass, packaging glass and technical glass production are most often specified in jargal.
Material
Alpha–beta alumina and jargal blocks are fused cast from high-purity alumina. Because they contain no zirconia, they do not seed the melt with zircon and carry a very low risk of stones and blisters in the finished glass. They are the preferred lining for superstructure, forehearth channels and feeder zones, particularly in container and flat glass production.
