Fused Cast Alumina (Alpha–Beta, Jargal)

Where the glass must stay free of colour and blister defects

Alpha–beta alumina and jargal blocks are fused cast from high-purity alumina. Because they contain no zirconia, they do not seed the melt with zircon and carry a very low risk of stones and blisters in the finished glass. They are the preferred lining for superstructure, forehearth channels and feeder zones, particularly in container and flat glass production.
