About this product
Sanitaryware grows heavier and softer as it fires, and the support under it stands loaded at the same temperature. If the support creeps even slightly the piece warps and is scrapped. Zircon mullite supports hold their shape at temperature and so keep dimensional consistency in firing basins, WC pans and cisterns.
Material
Zircon mullite is a mullite matrix reinforced with zircon (ZrSiO₄). In contact with molten glass it shows low wettability and sound corrosion resistance while keeping the melt clean. It is the standard choice for forehearth channel blocks, spouts, feeder expendables, vitrified supports and gob delivery blocks.
