About this product
In a container plant one channel usually feeds several machines, and each machine gob weight influences the others. The slightest distortion of the channel geometry breaks that balance. The blocks are therefore machined to work exactly to section, and the joint layout is planned so as not to disturb the temperature profile along the line.
Material
Zircon mullite is a mullite matrix reinforced with zircon (ZrSiO₄). In contact with molten glass it shows low wettability and sound corrosion resistance while keeping the melt clean. It is the standard choice for forehearth channel blocks, spouts, feeder expendables, vitrified supports and gob delivery blocks.
