About this product
The feeder tube is the moving part that controls how much glass reaches the spout; because it rotates continuously it suffers both corrosion and friction. Delivery blocks steer the glass as it leaves the channel. Both parts are machined in zircon mullite fully symmetric and balanced — an unbalanced tube makes gob weight oscillate.
Material
Zircon mullite is a mullite matrix reinforced with zircon (ZrSiO₄). In contact with molten glass it shows low wettability and sound corrosion resistance while keeping the melt clean. It is the standard choice for forehearth channel blocks, spouts, feeder expendables, vitrified supports and gob delivery blocks.
Applications
- Feeder tube and shaft
