About this product
The orifice ring is the first part changed when the production programme changes: a different bottle weight calls for a different orifice diameter. The bore and the lower edge geometry set the gob shape directly, so tolerances are tight. We hold a range of diameters in stock and machine special sizes at short notice.
Material
Zircon mullite is a mullite matrix reinforced with zircon (ZrSiO₄). In contact with molten glass it shows low wettability and sound corrosion resistance while keeping the melt clean. It is the standard choice for forehearth channel blocks, spouts, feeder expendables, vitrified supports and gob delivery blocks.
