About this product
Corundum is among the hardest refractories to machine: standard tooling dulls quickly against it and a piece heated during cutting can crack. Diamond tooling and a continuously water-cooled bench are therefore required. This equipment lets us produce close-tolerance parts from corundum block and reproduce the geometry on the customer drawing exactly.
Material
Kent Ateş Tuğla machines refractories to the required dimension and geometry in its own cutting shop, starting from the block. Diamond-tipped saws and grinding benches turn out non-standard parts — arches, channels, rings and fixtures — on short notice. This group also covers steel fibre, pigment coating and installation auxiliaries.
Applications
- Close-tolerance corundum parts
- Block grinding and surface truing
- Fixture body machining
