About this product
Castable is strong in compression but weak in tension; under thermal stress it cracks and spalls away piece by piece. Steel fibre mixed into the castable takes up that tensile stress and stops the crack from propagating. Grade 304 stainless fibre keeps working at high temperature thanks to its oxidation resistance, and dosage is typically 1–3% by weight.
Material
Kent Ateş Tuğla machines refractories to the required dimension and geometry in its own cutting shop, starting from the block. Diamond-tipped saws and grinding benches turn out non-standard parts — arches, channels, rings and fixtures — on short notice. This group also covers steel fibre, pigment coating and installation auxiliaries.
