About this product
In an electric furnace the element must be held mechanically and insulated from the shell, and the wire lengthens as it heats, so room must be left for that movement. Element holder boards meet all three requirements with grooves cut to the wire diameter. Groove depth is calculated to let the wire expand freely.
Material
The insulation group cuts fuel consumption directly by holding heat inside the furnace shell. Ceramic fibre blanket and felt cover flexible applications, calcium silicate and vermiculite boards handle load-bearing insulation, and microtherm boards go where the highest insulation value must fit the thinnest section. Heat-resistant packings seal lids, doors and expansion joints.
Applications
- Electric furnace element seats
- Laboratory furnaces
- Heat treatment and annealing furnaces
