About this product
Microporous insulation keeps the pore size below the mean free path of air molecules and so nearly stops convective heat transfer. The result is several times the insulating value of conventional fibre board. Where space is constrained — a narrow shell cavity, an existing furnace wall that cannot be thickened, portable equipment — the advantage is decisive.
Material
The insulation group cuts fuel consumption directly by holding heat inside the furnace shell. Ceramic fibre blanket and felt cover flexible applications, calcium silicate and vermiculite boards handle load-bearing insulation, and microtherm boards go where the highest insulation value must fit the thinnest section. Heat-resistant packings seal lids, doors and expansion joints.
Applications
- Applications needing thin-section insulation
- Efficiency upgrades on existing furnaces
- Portable and compact equipment
