About this product
Most insulation materials carry no load; put weight on them and they crush, losing their insulating value. Calcium silicate board is the exception: it can serve as a load-bearing insulation layer on a furnace floor, underneath the brickwork. It is also easy to work, sawn to any required size.
Material
The insulation group cuts fuel consumption directly by holding heat inside the furnace shell. Ceramic fibre blanket and felt cover flexible applications, calcium silicate and vermiculite boards handle load-bearing insulation, and microtherm boards go where the highest insulation value must fit the thinnest section. Heat-resistant packings seal lids, doors and expansion joints.
Applications
- Load-bearing floor insulation
- Layers beneath the glass tank
- Pipe and equipment insulation
