About this product
A tank bottom is not a single layer: beneath the AZS block in glass contact come high-alumina brick, insulating brick and insulation board in turn. This build-up both lowers heat loss and delays any leak reaching the steel shell. Kent Ateş Tuğla calculates layer thicknesses against furnace capacity and supplies the complete package.
Material
AZS (alumina–zirconia–silica) is a fused cast refractory produced by melting the raw mix in an electric arc furnace and casting it into moulds. Its zirconia content gives outstanding corrosion resistance against molten glass, which is why it is the default choice for the tank bottom, sidewalls and throat — everywhere the glass makes direct contact. Kent Ateş Tuğla supplies the 33% and 36% ZrO₂ grades both as standard blocks and as project-specific cuts and shapes.
